Class Calendar:
101 Discovering the Art and Science of Wine 1st Tuesday and Thursday of each month, additional classes may be added if needed Understand the basics of tasting wine and how to appreciate what is really in the glass. Learn how to use the aroma wheel, how to judge the quality in the glass and most importantly to overcome the fear associated with the world of wine. 201 Mastering the Science of Wine
Wine by the numbers: Side by side varietal comparison (New varietals each month) 2nd Friday and 3rd Wednesday of each month Compare and contrast a single grape varietal and see if you can detect the similarities as well as the unique differences that different wine growing regions have on the style of the wine. 2nd Thursday and 3rd Saturday of each month Fourth Thursday of each month Class dates and times are subject to change. Classes that are not full are subject to cancellation. 24 hr notice will be given in case of cancellation.

School of Wine
Each class begins with an informal meet and greet, sipping on some bubbly and afterwards we socialize and discuss the topic of the evening. Wines tasted are available for a special discounted purchase on the day of the class only.
Specific class dates can be found on the main page and updated frequently to allow enough time to choose the one that fits you best. Additional unique tasting classes and wine pairings may be add as needed and based upon interest and scheduling.
We offer these classes to educate your palate and your mind through fun and informative guided tastings. Most of the information is intended to be hands on and easy to understand. The classes are offered in an intimate setting for the novice or connoisseur alike. Our wines are unique and we try to offer ones that are not readily available in the grocery or big box stores.
To sign up for a class, please fill out the contact form with all of your information and the name of the class and date you are interested in attending. You may also call or send an email directly to craig@vinovitae.com to arrange a class personally.
Classes must be purchased in advance or as part of the special online offer to reserve your space. Receipt is required to verify purchase on day of class.
4th Wednesday of each month (Each class is offered 1x/quarter in succession)
A three part series offered each quarter, designed to delve deeper into the underlying science of wine. Each segment is independent of each other and not required to understand the next class. From tasting and defining aromas to the process of making wine. Appreciate the aromas and flavors in wine and learn how to "train your brain".

Tasting Techniques and the Composition of wine: (Mar, June, September, December) Break down the specific wine aromas/bouquets and understanding of the components of wine.
Regional Focus: Travel the world of wine without leaving home
(Different countries and regions of the world each month)
Immerse yourself in the wines, cuisine and landscape that define a region. Learn why the grapes used for wines from one country differ from another. How are the labels and names of the wines determined and what creates the selection and quality of that region that make it so unique and different from others.
Head to Head Competition: Different Varietal competition each month
Taste several examples of different varietals as they compare and contrast to each other in a head to head battle. Presented in a blind tasting format and using a formal judging scale to evaluate the wines and see which ones may surprise you and win the challenge.
